Thousands Tackle Seaton’s Gruelling Grizzly Run

Sunday 8th March 2026

Around 2,500 runners took part in today’s Grizzly race, which started and finished on Seaton seafront. Participants could choose between the full 20-mile course or the shorter 9-mile multi-terrain option. The race is known for its challenging route, featuring two sections of pebble beach, two energy-sapping bog crossings, and the infamous “Stairway to Heaven” – a steep climb up the side of Hooken Cliff. A huge well done to everyone who took part.
